my omega seems heavy on fuel for a 2.2 computer says around 22mpg any ideas

I'd say any car weighing almost 2 tons that only has a 4 pot 2.2 litre engine is doing effing well to return 22mpg.
Then again I'd also say that the computer is the last thing I would take any notice of.

If you want to know what you are getting, brim fill the tank, zero the trip, do a couple of hundred miles, brim fill the tank again, then do the math from the trip reading....that's your REAL fuel consumption figure.

With a combination of urban and motorway driving over three days this week doing 300 miles, I managed a pleasing 24.5 mpg.

I've done about 1200 miles in the last 7 days, a bit of everything, backwards and forwards along the South coast, and I seem to have got an average of 27mpg I can't remember how many times I have filled up with petrol though

But I love my right foot Andy and hearing / feeling the V6 8-) 8-)

I can't argue with that sentiment. I don't think I was hanging around though
