HBV leak
« on: 20 April 2010, 09:37:06 »

I have a slight weep from the bottom of the Heater By-pass Valve, Mine is the TD though, and the HBV looks different to the petrol ones. It is also fitted to a bracket & I can't see how it can be removed.
Anyone changed one on the TD?

Thanks Chris, BUT, just been to the Stealers, there are TWO, the TD used one with 2 outlets, all Petrol models have 3 outlets. Mine is less than £30 with VAT, which is nice, but they are not in stock,  but I will have to get it off the bracket first.  ::)

Just fitted HBV part no V0090566947, it has two tubes on one side and one tube on the other, plus the vacuum tube on top.
It was the same on the diesel I had some years ago.
good luck

Thanks Richard, but mine only has two ports, perhaps they changed them for the facelift.   ::)

OK Charlie, thanks, wish mine was the three port one. I agree it's so easy to get to on the Turbo Weasel, just won't come away from the bracket.

Edit:-  OK, got it free from the bracket, replaced it with a three port one with the bottom one blanked off. I will fit the right one as soon as I get one, but everything working fine, including cooling & heater.
 :y

Just so you will believe me that there are two:-
