Alarm not sounding....
« on: 04 May 2010, 14:24:39 »

Found the car with the hazards flashing the other night. But no sound from the horns under the drivers side scuttle.

I do not have the powersounder fitted (new one coming from Welung666). :y
I have set the alarm with the bonnet switch held down and when releasing the switch, after a minute or so, the lights flash but it is totally silent.

Is this normal or where do I start looking  :-/

I'm glad you reminded me ;D ;D ;D

Is the horn plugged in next to where the powersounder lives? The alarm doesn't use the cars horn but the seperate one.

The horn is plugged in and sounds with direct 12v but not when the alarm is activated  :-/

Whilst I was at it I sorted the holes in the exhaust   ;D ;D

same thing happened on mine.. sounder went barmy every now and then so disconnected it. when i tested the round flat horn (the one next to sounder) it was dead.. but with a direct 12v conection it worked.. bought a new horn (about £9 from vaux 18 months ago)...plugged it in and it worked fine.. maybe after a while they get a bit tired. When the alarm goes off it only pulses 12v to the horn for around 1 second at a time. hope this helps :y
