Trouble starting

Hi drove my 2.2 started drives ok came back to car turn key nothing when i tap the fuse box in engine bay by the battery it starts every other time when running ok charging and no lights on dash the AA man said it may be the starter relay if so which one is it and when it dose start the starter somtimes makes a clonking noise

Last time someone had this problem I suggested 'starter relay' and was told in no uncertain terms that the Omega doesn't have a separate starter relay.

You have probably checked these items already but...

Fuses can sometimes fracture and give intermittent contact despite appearing intact.

Vauxhall ignition switches do sometimes fail.

The crimped connections on the big cables to the battery can break.

Finally, if your starter motor is playing up it is worth checking it yourself before paying for a new one. You may find a broken connection that can be resoldered or a sticky solenoid that can be cleaned and lubricated.

not as sutch there is a relay but its for the imoblizer you hear a click then opens power for starting, no click wont start.

Yep, main engine ECU under bonnet with the relays
i was thinking along the lines of a bad earth to the ecu.
I had this happen to me

Hi the car will bump start and runs fine if ther is a bad earth on the ecu will the engine run and are there 2 parts to the immobilizer
