Water pump supplier
« on: 01 June 2010, 08:13:21 »

Went to order cambelt kit and waterpump from buypartsby...

would appear there are (or were) several waterpumps  :-/

they sell a QCP3255 which is for Y32SE engines up to number 8579084...
mine is later than this?  Do I need a different pump?  anyone know a good and cheap supplier?

EPC seems to suggest all previous pumps discontinued and now 1 standard one, which indicates the one above will fit to me  :-/

QCP3255 is the one that arrived for my 2.5 v6 from buypartsby, I phoned them to double check that was the correct one and they were very helpful in checking and phoning back...

I know that's not the answer you were looking for bit it may help...... Give them a ring...

I bought my new V6 water pump from buypartsby and it was a Quinton Hazel. The body of the pump was thinner than the VX one so when I put the std bolts back in the impeller fouled them. Easily cured by fitting washers BUT would have been a disaster if I hadn't checked it rotated by hand.

I was most unimpressed
