Elite rear door Facelift -> prefacelift
« on: 02 June 2010, 22:57:05 »

Hi guys

Wondering whether to swap my badly scratched/creased pre-facelift rear door over with a facelift one on my Elite. What to I need to do? Will the door card fit without modification? Is the wiring the same internally/door pin etc?

I hear from Elite Pete that I can swap the door trim over with a bit of that heavy duty trim tape and some heat to get it off. Mines body coloured, not dissimilar to the facelift trim.

The damage:

Bought it like this though, nothing new, just getting it reet.

Hi Whilst you can use the external trim strips from a Facelift on a Prefacelift (Like I have!) the inside is completely different:-  Trim, door release catch and, I believe the electrics are set out differently.

See if you can find another prefacelift first and swap everything over (especially if you can find one in matching colour).
