maf problems
« on: 04 June 2010, 21:08:33 »

I bought a new maf from vaux robbers but code 88 is still showing.
I done the 20+ faultless starts code gone, took the car for a drive 88 back. tested maf on a friend of a friends tractor if you get my drift and the maf was ok no codes. :-?
is there any other thing that can cause the code this ones got me baffled. :(
I fitted a new(re-con) fuel pump last week.it's not smoking runs rough until hot then ok. I accelerate as normal  and  there'a no misfire just conks out when cold.
fuel consumption is great getting 32 in town and 47 on m-way at 60mph

Is the engine coolant temp sensor OK (wiring a bit weak around these). Can't remember if the engine ecu one is the front or rear engine temp sensor, sorry  :-[

I did unplug it to get the pump out.
88 only appeared after new pump fitting. I'll check next week. Cheers :y
