lpg vaporiser
« on: 11 June 2010, 20:23:44 »

Hi, began my lpg install, so far,
drilled and fitted manifold nozzles and hose,
mounted ecu and threaded the loom through,
soldered and mounted the switch,
soldered the ecu connections today.
Now im coming to fit the vaporiser and have a question, does the orientation  that i mount it matter? the way i intend to do it is with the gas inlet/solenoid at the bottom and the outlets facing upwards. is this ok or is there a rule?
cheers

Andy, it needs to be mounted so that the water inlet and outlet are positioned to ensure proper flow, i.e. Inlet at the bottom, outlet at the top. Generally the splendid would be vertical but I'm on my phone so the picture is difficult to view. Also, it should ideally be mounted in a front - rear orientation otherwise you may get issues under hard acceleration/braking. You can use the pictures in the 4 pot guide to help.

Had another look... Mounted like the first picture shows, with the water inlet at the bottom and water outlet at the top is fine :y

But you can rotate the inlet if you need to... Just make sure you use lock and seal on it when you have it in the place you need it :y :y
