gearbox problem???

hello peeps i have got this problem to share with u guys here n i jst wana kno wat u guys tink the problem is basically ma car is automatic and sometimes when i set off 4m a stand still position and the gear changes 4m 1 to 2 it wont change and da car will revv but it will not pik up speed no matter how much i try n accelerate it jst won it will jst keep on revvin the only way i can get it bak 2 normal is by pressin the "s button on top of the gearstick and den the car jerks slightly and chnges to the second gear i hope im makin sense cz all this seems a bit complicated in words but if ne did understand nething i rote please let me know your thoughts on what the problem mite be thanks!!

Would understand more of what you wrote if you tried plain good old fashioned English instead of text speak making it difficult for others to read >:(

Car sounds like it needs the codes reading might be worth updating your profile with your location maybe a local member can help :y

Hi Abdul.

The first thing to check is the oil level in the gearbox. There is not a dipstick for checking. Instead you remove a plug half way up the gearbox (right hand side looking forwards) .

Forum members recommend changing the gearbox oil and cleaning out or replacing the oil filter  at say 100,000km depending on how hard the car has been driven.
