Replacing Front Pad Low Wear Sensor.
« on: 18 August 2010, 17:42:12 »

Hi All, Had my front pads replaced yesterday, but got told when i picked the car up that the old sensor would not come out so i need a new one. They have put the wiring up out the way for now. Is this as easy as it sounds, and what side of the car is it on? Thanks. :)

Just unplugs from the socket by the inner wing ..plug in the new one and then feed the wire around to the caliper and gently push the small metal lug into the hole in the brake pad..they cost about £10.00 a side but on yours you only have 1.
Not sure which side it will be on a F/L as mine is older model with 1 each side.
If you put each wheel on hard lock you will be able to see which side has the fitting...simple job to do,but if it was done by a reputable garage they are a bit naughty not doing that as well and making it a proper job.
