2.5 Est Exhaust
« on: 18 August 2010, 23:16:33 »

Whats the difference between the saloon & estate exhaust ?

Will a cat back system off a saloon fit the estate ? - it has been suggested that it will but the tail pipe is short (add a crome bit!)

Is that the case or do i need to get one off an estate?

Thanks

Steve

Hi,

on my TD's i found the mount brackets were in a different place and i think they come out the back in a different place because of the floor differing, so they bend slightly wrong.

the cat section seems to be the same tho ;)

I have the same problem on my 2.5 est, found an estate exhaust used for a month but it was in Dundee! Then I was going to buy an eternalcar but I discovered last week that i'm not so hot rolling around on my back under the car anymore. That coupled with me spotting that the cat bolts are pure rust i'm going to have to drive it in somewhere. Best price so far is £230  :( but my local Powerflow dealer thinks he might be able to repair it with replacement tube.
