hi all been having idle probs went to vauxhall today the 2nd time this time its apparently got air leak the ones they listed are them six O rings. also the ones on that plate under the injector manifold both sides, and egr valve to plenium there not missing but probably perished would this cause the rev needle to flutter

It could but I hope they actually did a diagnostic before telling you that... ie listened to the engine?   Actually it wouldn't suprise me if they didn't as a dirty ICV can give idle running probs, some carb cleaner and wd40 will sort that out though :y

those are primary causes ..
as stated your icv may be dirty or worse..

after trying those options, try injector cleaning and new sparks imo..

and I must note that actual cause may differ depending on the cold idle or hot idle problem.. :-/
