Aircon Blower Issues
« on: 26 August 2010, 02:34:15 »

Has any of you experienced that the aircon blower sometimes works and sometimes does not???
We know tht the aircon blower and the aux fan are wied together having the same fuse.

Any ideas? Appreciate it mates.

Yep, have had this problem. In my case when working it seems fine and full speed but then at random refused to operate.  You can easily actually get hold of the cage wheel type fan . I found that when it didn't operate it was stiff to turn but seemed to be quite easily freed by turning it and pushing it in and out on the shaft. I also managed to spray WD40, with the red tube on ,  at the bottom end which I hoped hit the bearing .  So far it has been fine again.  To gain access remove the cover panel above the passenger foot well  ( 3 retainers I think ?) Put aircon on recirc and then you will be able to see  / feel the fan upper left. Best lay on your back in foot well for this . Hope this helps
