« on: 12 August 2010, 00:07:39 »

Can anyone tell me where i can order rear brake backing plates for my 1996 3.0 v6 elite ? the twist pin that holds the shoes in place cant be twisted into the backing plate to hold the shoe in place as its rusted away to leave a big hole

You will need the newer backplates
24436738 LH Back Plate £17.37
24428129 Gasket £1.62
24445691 Cover £1.04

24436739 RH Back Plate £17.37
24428129 Gasket £1.62
24445691 Cover £1.04

Gasket and cover are required when putting late back plates on early cars

You wil also need a brake shoe fitting kit 93174289.

And to fit them you will also have to separate the driveshaft and rear wheel bearing
