SHUDDER
« on: 15 September 2010, 17:58:15 »

Hi my cars still knackered. Replaced DIS pack (I'm not convinced it was a goodun at present), done HT leads TWICE, done plugs, done back box, paperclipped, no codes. Changed MAF, cleaned ICV. Had it on a snap-on machine at my local garage, no codes. Been suffering with this car for months to no avail, I feel like getting violent with it now I really do.

Will a tech2 pick anything up that the paperclip/snap-on machine won't?

If so, know anyone around the Cheshire area that has one?

Thx

I can't answer your question about code reading but what is the trouble with the car?

I ask this as I have spent four years looking for a problem with mine and having no codes and then the damn car self healed having not had anything touched.

Shuddering under load, lumpy under idle. I can lift my foot slightly back off the gas whilst pulling, and it jumps into action. Emissions passed MOT, MPG is fine on mway, about 39-42mpg at 60-70, performance is terrible, getting overtaken by MICRAS unless I redline the thing. I might as well walk.

So that last one got me thinking - can I change a fuel filter myself then?
