Not massively expensive new to be honest. All our guides are based around the Stag system. Earlier this year, I paid under £600 delivered for mine, complete.

If you bought 2nd hand, you would need to replace quite a few parts - pipework etc. plus the tanks are only certificated for a certain number of years before they need to be retested. There are also the potential problems and pitfalls of removing a system from one car and installing it into another. so its generally considered to be false economy to buy 2nd hand.
