Presumably the rattle is only present when the car is moving ?
Dont think a broken spring will rattle tbh. :-/

My rear one did when it broke - the bottom 2" rattled about loose - initial cure remove broken bit, final cure fit new springs. ;)

Never known an Omega front spring to break.

If this started after the work, double check all droplink nuts fully tightened, and that nothing else disturbed :)

Yep double checked - drop links are good and solid ... I am really baffled....

I thought of broken spring cos of the change in the steering behaviour..... BTW Tony at WIM has lined this car up 3 times and it still pulls to the left - so you can see why I was thinking suspension geometery

A front spring broke undetected on a Combo van I had some time ago, but there was no rattle, but every now and again it would pull severely to the damaged side and then clear up again. It turned out that the broken coil was intermittently jamming in some way and interfering with the steering geometry.
Needs fixing double quick if that's the cause.
