Do the compresser bolts really have to be torqued then angled tightened,going to attempt water pump change myself with limited tools.. When repaired its being SOLD ! not enough posts to sell on forum
guys.. last night while trying silence sounder in a Panic,managed to Crack the screen >:( to add even more insult to injury.. so bye baby..

Hi Janik, what engine are we talking about? A filled In profile helps, but yes would suggest the correct torque settings, bolts flying out or sheering off will lead to more expense. A small torque wrench is not expensive, and the angle tightening is easily gauged by eye from 90 degrees etc...

....and not sure why a cam belt and a cracked screen would mean desperate sale of a car? Maybe your insurance covers a new screen?

Oh, and do you gave a cam belt locking kit with crank locking tool for the cam belt? I assume your doing the cam belt...?

sorry mate im hopless with computers,no just water pump to be replaced,cambelt was replaced by last owner..6 years ago b4 getting into gas,i was a private hire driver,had a 5 year old  VX Carlton CDI manual,bought with 100000 miles,scrapped it with 325.000,brillant car.always admired omega,no car since 2003 until now 1 stunning black 3ltr man
MV6,Ive owned 1 month,in that short time this car has SHATTERED >:( my confidence in VX,dont get me wrong Mate it can shift!looks cracking,but this is not a good car and will become a bottomless pit..

That is 2 years overdue!!!!!!!!!!! 4 years or 40k miles MAXIMUM!!!
