I have a couple of problems with my 2001 2.2cd, the outside temp guage isnt working properly, have changed the sensor but it stilll reading the wrong temp and the other thing is the red warning light of the car with the spanner through it in on but will go out if ignition is turned off and  on again, but it will come back on again.

You need to get the codes read, I see you are in Northampton.

TheBoy is in N'hampton, drop him a PM, he will read the codes for you.

you need to check for codes but i think on the 2.2 you can't run the paper clip test but maybe try the pedal test you may get lucky have a look in the maintenance guides for these otherwise it will need to be hooked up to a tech2
