On another note, while your car is in the garage being repaired, you are entitles to a replacement vehicle which is 'similar' to the one you have. So you do not have to accept a tiny 'courtesy car', you can easily argue that you need a reasonably-large 4 door saloon for your daily motorway travel (assuming this is indeed the case of course).

The LPG is another issue... if you do a considerable amount of Motorway mileage that you could insist on an LPG car so that your fuel costs remain the same, or you can add to the claim the difference in the cost of petrol that you will need to incur while driving a non-LPG replacement car.

The question is obviously how long it would take the garage to fix your car....
