When checking voltages, also bear in mind that it's pretty cold at the moment, and the voltage of even a healthy battery will suffer as a result. I would say check it under load and watch how it drops rather than worrying about seeing a specific voltage, because you might only expect 12.5v or less from a fully charged, healthy battery that's cold.
