I have just done a Newport,Gwent to Plymouth run and i averaged 34 mpg at a steady 65 - 70 mph.. how you got that i dont know.

I went to nottingham today, cruise control set at 80, 85 some of the way, there and back, including some town stuff.... averaged 33.4 in the 2.2.

I regularly get 40mpg from my 3.0 (when the bloody thing is running).

Im getting anything between 22 and 35mpg, though I live in a town full of roundabouts and do a short hop down the motorway to work. I once owned a MKII Granada 2.8i and on a good day I got 12mpg out of that!

I have been driving like a vicars mother recently, and going by the computer, I have been getting 22mpg with an ave speed of 18mph.

Even if I drive like a vicar's mother whose arse is on fire I still get 22mpg.

I still dont get much better than 28mpg on a steady motorway run.

However I didn't buy this car for it's fuel economy. I bought a clit diesel for that. I hated that car, got bored and scrapped it.

I would rather have 20mpg and a car I want, than 50mpg and driving a s*itter that I can't wait to get out of.

I still can't help but think I should be getting a little more.
