MV6 leather seats question
« on: 22 January 2011, 19:05:12 »

I'm thinking of buying a leather interior for my MV6 3.0. It is an X reg 2000 model.  I have never owned an Omega before so am new to this!  I've been offered an interior that is currently in an MV6 98 model.  Does anybody know if there will be any problems in fitting?  I have been informed that I need to check this because of different year  face lifts. Can any one help !:-/

if yours is a facelift (probable given age)

then the seats heaters are incompatable with your car.
Also you lose the safety feature of 'active headrests' so possible insurance issue.

Although rare, there are some Pre Facelift Recaro badged Sport Leathers around, mainly for Estates for some strange reason, these dont have Air Bags, so again possible Insurance issues.

Thanks all!

It is the facelift model. Am I right in saying that I would need seats from 2000 onwards? Will Elite seats be a problem?

The Car in the pic is a facelift, but the seats are the early Recaro type, ie no air bags, so they shouldn't really be in there (not my pic).

The ones your after are the 2000 face lift onwards (assuming yours is a FL), MV6 seats, there a wider design, Elite seats will fit but wont be the sport front seat type.
