Reverse light switch
« on: 24 January 2011, 15:10:18 »

Me again, can anyone tell me what part number the reverse light switch is for the R25 5spd Manual G/box?
Also can anyone give a brief run down on how to change it?

My reverse lights have worked/not worked intermittently for around the last 11 months now, therefore i believe that the switch has as good as failed???

Why oh why was there never a V8 Omega????
Such a missed oppurtunity.
Look forward to the Cadillac ATS & ATS-V. Maybe a re-badged one will replace the Miggy as a RWD runner?

you need an offset ring spanner (22 mm)to get at it, on passenger side of box towards the top, just unplug, unscrew, replace.  easy enough, once you have the right tool, no space for a socket, no clearance for a normal spanner.

Thanks guys, does anyone know the part number for this switch as (i believe) there are several?

The one needed is for a 99-03 facelift model (5 speed manual).

mine appears to have been 90337100 at £15.10 + retail
and possibly a 11015219 seal at 24p to go with it?
