Admins, have you thought about contacting vx about membership of the trade club scheme for our membership along the lines of the route abs have done and what would be needed to quailfy for inclusion.

It is something that comes up regularly on the forum.

In order to get a card for, say, OOF, then we need to be a bona fide 'club' with membership fees, accounts, meetings, AGM's and the like, as well as becoming part of VBOA - Vauxhall Bedford Owners Association.  I think that needs 2 years as a club - not simply a forum presence that we currently have -  so would be a minimum of 2 years of from today, even if we wanted to.

VxON has been attempting to get VX Trade Club status for over 2 years and, like 99 plus % of their members, are still waiting for the promised cards.  Their arrival has been 'imminent' for months and months.....

In the short term, far cheaper alternative is to join ABS and get card access by that means.

Also, perhaps more importantly, its the admin view that info and knowledge to keep the Omega marque in the way we would like it should be available free of charge.  To go down the affiliated club route would mean charging a membership fee and thats not what we are about.

Thank you brucie for your to the point answer to the ?  did not think it would entail all that messing about and i agree that we should be free to any one that wants to join and get help.  Hope your well and hope to meet up again soon.
