Alarm and locking problems! help please!!
« on: 09 February 2011, 11:10:09 »

I have a y plate omega 2.5 v6 estate, yesterday I went out to the car blipped the key to open it, the alarm went of but really muted and fast, no lights flashing tho, the car dead locked and i could not get into it at all,it stayed liked this for two hours,  2 hours later the proper full blown alarm went off I managed to open the doors, the alarm and lights still going!! 15 mins later when green flag finally arrived it stopped ...he reckoned it was because the battery was low I'm not convinced I drive the car 100 miles everday! Any ideas????? My husband is telling me to get shot but I love my car!!

Hiya would suggest an over-night charge to the battery, and then monitor the rate of discharge, the main earth lead at the battery .

If it happens again, open the door and turn on the ignition, that should stop the alarm.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.
