Did you ever get the windscreen rubbers properly secure around especially the bottom of your windscreen Ron? :-/ :-/

I understand that you have used a hosepipe over the windscreen, I assume at an angle across the top.  But when you are driving through rain the chances are the rain water is driving up from the bottom of the windscreen and could easily find any weakness you have in the rubber seal, which was very dodgy the last time I saw it ;) ;)

Hello Lizzie  The water seems to get in when the car is standing on the drive. I put some very sticky tape over the joints soon after I saw you to keep the water away from the engine and that seemed to work OK. I have been waiting for a stone to go through the screen so that I could get a new one fitted but no luck. All I am trying to do now is locate the problem before lashing out on a screen replacement.

I have the normal windscreen insurance £ 75 no effect on no claims but I thought that that was only for a cracked screen

Have you checked and ruled out the possability of the heater matrix leaking ?.
Does the water in the car smell of coolant.?
