From a main agent... Yep. But you'd be better to put your location up as one of the mobile mechanics may be able to do it for less than half that ;)

Or even take a drive up to Darth in Stoke :y At least you know it's right then ;)

Nope, you can get a much better cheaper job done by myself or one of the other travelling mechanics on the forum, where abouts are you?

Sorry to jump in, but as I bought my Omega a couple of weeks ago and don't know the history I'd quite like to get my cambelt changed.  Does anybody have recommendations for someone in the Newcastle area?

Jim.

Take your pick... Darth Loo Knee and Elite Pete are both reasonably near. I've seen DLK's work so can recommend him but hear lots of positive things about Pete too :y

[edit]Edited to add... Reasonably near in comparison to the distance some members will travel :y[/edit]

I feel I can answer this as I had my cam belt changed only yesterday by Daz, It cost be about half what I too was quoted by a vauxhall dealer I travelled 200 miles to dazs place on recommendation from other members of this forum and I can assure you I was not disappointed there are one or two mechanics on the forum that do these jobs,  and I am sure will do the job well and cheaper,   I watched Daz do the job and  my belief is that he is an expert.  I cant say more than that......

Ok, that's great.  I guess a 3-hour trip is worth it to save a couple of hundred quid!

It might have to wait a bit now as I've just discovered my exhaust is blowing and it might be the cat!
