car died!
« on: 15 February 2011, 10:10:54 »

hi i was nearly new to omega ownership last week but the car i nearly purchased died after 1 mile so returned it to previous owner! was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what might be the prob as id still be interested in the car as its in good condition apart from that! its the elite estate auto, 3l v6 also its lpg'd didnt try running it on gas though. Basically what happened i set off it seemed to be running fine then it just cut out and wouldnt restart after hours of trying! the engine management light came on and won't go out, any help much appreciated!

as henry says, check the codes & that will give us a clue to whats going on. suspect crank sensor though as it sudenly died. usualy re-start after a while though.
