Wishbones (bushes) / droplinks ?
« on: 18 May 2011, 17:24:04 »

Haven't looked at this yet, intending to this weekend, however just looking for some thoughts from those more experienced than me (which isn't hard) before I start.

Getting a slight knocking on bumpy roads etc. so suspecting wishbone bushes / drop links etc.  Also get a single knock when I push down on the o/s/f, assume this is probably the same problem.

Now, I don't have access to ramps so any work I do myself is done on axel stands, should the wishbones need replacing can it be done that way or do I need it up on ramps?  I have done drop links / anti-roll bars before so know I can do those potentially (pending bolt seizures etc).

Thanks one and all.

Can all be done on stands. Torquing the front wishbone bolts is the only slightly tricky part as this needs to be done with the suspension loaded (wheels on the ground) :y
