Elite rear suspension problem
« on: 31 May 2011, 14:55:07 »

The pump has packed up on mine and now i'm thinking

1, can i just replace the rear shocks with standard uprated items

2, someone advised to remove the pipe which connects to the shock on the passenger to lower the car by releasing the air left in the pump a little as it sits quite high now (pump issue ?) but i was worried it would lower the car too much as the pump is shot i would not be able to get it back up ????

By the way its sitting at 715mm now  :(

Why not buy a pump off a breaker on here. I have two you could have - both work fine. But postage would be from Spain.

They are easy enough to change, Three bolts and the wiring loom plus air pipe.

It would seem a shame not to stick with the rest of the system if it is just the pump.

You can use uprated shocks. I have a pair of Bilstein B4's on one car. It seems to work OK.
