A/C condenser

As well as having a leak in the low pressure A/C pipe, I have also found a new leak at the bottom of the condenser.  I'm hoping that this is the last leak as I can't find any UV dye anywhere else under the bonnet.

How easy is it to change the condenser on a facelift car with an auto box and where can I get the best value parts?  The howto guide looks fairly straightforward but appears to be for a manual 'box.

Pretty straight dorwars to remove the condensoe mate.
Bagpipes, radiator, a few connectors to unplug

Thanks for the advice, I have ordered a replacement from airconparts.co.uk.

I guess the O-rings will need replacing, does anyone know the part numbers and costs for these?

I wish I'd thought about getting new seals before I did mine the other week. I'd to re-use mine, but the system vacuum'd down OK & there was no signs of any leak.

2nd hand one from a 3.0 in mine, original seals still sealing. :y

Hardest part was keeping the rad far enough away to drop the condensor and its plumbing in and then securing the plumbing between the battery and radiator.

Would have been easier to whip the radiator out completely. ::)

I'm amazed you even managed to get the condenser out with the main rad still plumbed in.  :-? :-?

Folded in half carefully wriggled :-X

To be fair, it was already mullered, most of the fins were missing  :o

how about the 'new' one? You couldn't force that in just in case you damaged it.  :)

Borrowed a second pair of arms to hold the radiator as far up and out of the way as poss.

I just took the rad out, strangely it seemed to have grown while it was out of the car as I'd to 'persuade' it back in.  :-? ;D ;D
