head light
« on: 13 June 2011, 11:50:56 »

Morning just a quick question i belive my headlights are HID, I went out to the car this morning and my drivers side light was all fogged up i presume it is condensation from all the rain. My question is can i seal this somehow or do i need to change the whole light.

cheers Paul..

You will need to remove the headlight (after disconnecting the battery for some time to discharge the large voltages running to it!) then yes, once the condensation has gone and its dry inside (hairdryer will most likely suffice) you can use sealant round the edge of the lens to make it water tight :y

Drive with your headlights on, even during the day, that will normally clear condensation....then seal them.

That said, I had condensation in one of mine, drove with the lights on for a day, cleared the condensation up...never has come back..spooky !
