Cam cover gaskets
« on: 16 June 2011, 12:03:59 »

When replacing cam cover gaskets how long do i need to leave it for sealant to cure before starting engine?

Last time I left it over night and planning to do the same but just wanted to know as it's not mentioned in the guide.

TIA.

By the time you've rebuilt it, it will be ok to start ;)

Is that because there is little pressure, or cos sealant cures quick and is only belt and braces?
