My last Omega had the same problem, took it ot the garage and they said that they would have to take the dash board off to get to the aircon as a drain was blocked and the water was overflow and they would have to replace the box under the rad, cost £400 ++ I left it so my wife just got her feet wet when the air con was on! :D

There was a tech bulletin on this but, its not an issue I have ever seen.

The drains either side of the transmission tunnel are condensate drains so it would be interesting to know if anything is running from them when the aircon is operating,

Is it possible to link the discharge  pipes from the matrix  and pressure test the system to search for leaks

I have seen this on one occasion. By taking out the glove box you will see the leak from the side of the heater / ac unit. There is a removable piece there that you need to remove & reseal if memory serves.
