Headlight washer question
« on: 17 July 2011, 15:21:03 »

Just fitted them and it appears that when the washers are used the windscreen washers operate as normal, but the H/L washers give a quick blast for a couple of seconds and then stop.
Hopefully this is normal operation ?
Tia.
Oh, one more thing. So I dont break them trying - how do they adjust ? havent looked closely yet, but first impression is that it doesnt look as obvious as the screen washers.

Quite normal & correct. Screen & head lamps are fed from different pumps.

The washers are a ball in a socket so I suppose will adjust, but haven't need to so haven't tried.  :-/

Two options............traditional pin in jet hole method, or small flat blade in the slots by jet hole

Do the headlight washers on the mig only work when the headlights are on or do they work all the time? I remember owning a BMW and they only worked every 7 pulls of the washer / wiper stalk when the lights were on.
