Wel went to the triangle relay box and think I have fond the problem, no relay!!!! fitted one and it all seesm to work but wipers will need adjusting as they park in the vertical, hope it is a simple adjustment and not anything else.

Ah! Now were getting somewhere. If you remove the whole wiper assembly, be careful of the paint on the top of your driver's wing, you'll see an arm fixed to the taper/splined motor spindle. Slacken the M8 nut (13mm spanner) and move the arm back to between the marks on the ally casting ie >      <
Refit wiper assembly.

Rob why would they be so far out? do you think that the asy might have been removed and not obthered to be set up correctly.

More like the wipers were frozen to the screen, wipers left switched on and stopped halfway across the screen when the engine was stopped.

Well at last sorted, but what a battle, they were so far out the set up was miles out, adjusted from the wiper motor and alls well, so guess someone had a problem and whipped the relay out to make life easy.
