automatic gearbox leak
« on: 24 August 2011, 16:20:52 »

Hello everyone,

If an automatic gearbox has spewed out all the oil from the front seal, is there any chance I could replace the seal and top it up with fresh oil and it will work?  I need to know if there is any way working out if the torque converter and gearbox are ok, the gearbox is an ar25.

thanks

Shaft may also be damaged/worn.

Put a new seal on mine and it still leaked - so swapped the box.  Ended up taking gearbox in and out twice, althoug 2nd time was much easier!!
