info display in german and heater problem

i have just bought an omega Preg 2.0 16v but have a few problems. first 1 is the info display is in german, stop watch etc. other 1 is when i got the car it had no water in so i topped it up twice. its holding the water and its clean but theres little heat

Stupid question but is it always in German? very ocassionally mine comes up in German then corrects itself.
It may be that the heater matrix is blocked up or the HBV has a problem, does your car have aircon? climate control?

As Mark has said above, will need TechII (or Opel Scanner) to reset the display language.

Taking a total guess at the heat problem I would say either HBV or thermostat stuck open.
