STANDARD VAUXHALL FIT STEREO - CD MAGAZINE PROBLEM

STANDARD VAUXHALL FIT STEREO IN '01 2.6 ESTATE

The car is fitted with a PHILLIPS CCR2006 head unit which has an integral 4 disk CD autochanger. I cannot for the life of me get the unit to accept the magazine. Any ideas ANYONE?

Thanks.

Seems to be a common flaw with this model.

I've heard it is possible to replace the CD changer unit with a CDC3, but keep the vertical board from yours.  (Once removed, you'll notice the CCR2006 is 2 units in one - top half is radio, bottom hald is a normal CDC3).

I'm sure somebody will elaborate further.
