I have decided that I will make no further posts to this forum and because of fears for my personal safety I cannot now attend the WIM event on 27th July.

Oh thats funny !!!

If I ever work out what on earth a WIM event is in time to go, you`ll know who I am, I`ll be the one rolling around the floor, doubled up in complete hysterics.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Besides, if its something to do with Omega gatherings, they won`t let me in anyway - I drive a Ferrari, not an Omega !!

Trafficmaster is still quite beneficial if you do a reasonable mileage, and from feedback given, works fairly well.

The only gripe everybody seems to have is the around £30 a year subscription that they charge. Obviously I cannot discuss this subscription issue any further on a public forum, but by all means PM me and I`ll let you into a little secret

In answer to my original question I received this answer from Dave, aimed very much at me.

Dave with the  best of intentions, and following much previous  FREE help to OOF members, did this to help me. Following this post many members decided to post PM's to him, so much so that I held off from doing so to allow this very busy business man to get on and run his business. ;)

This thread was never intended to degenerated into a "I want" series of requests.  Dave is doing this Forum a very BIG favour in providing techicle information to us when he can whilst having to cope with his business. :y

Whether or not he has got his communication wrong does not give anyone the excuse to attack Dave's intentions. >:( >:( >:(  How anyway could he possibly be able to service even a 20% request rate from OOF members; 680 out of 3400 as I understand?  He has a private business to run and just cannot meet all requests as some members  seem to expect? ::) ::) ::) ::) :-?

It is totally unfair to Dave to have all this tirade of postings attacking, or questioning his motives when he has tried to help so many. :o :o :o

My recommendation is that everyone backs off, cools down, and leaves him alone before he decides, frankly as I would now, that all this is not worth it and cease to help the OOF members again.

My opinion as I now see the situation, but I value Dave too much to keep stum on this one! ::) ::)

All the best Dave; keep smilling!! ;) :y :y :y :y :y

Lizzie,

As you posted the original question, I feel it only right that I can now blame you for all this.

OK guys, fun is over, sorry.

I think both sides have been aired thoroughly, and no need for further discussion.

For the record, I agree with both sides of the debate, both are very valid.

But we've been there now, done it to death, time to move on.

My personal feeling is this thread needs to be closed down now, before men in black start crawling over the topic!.

Over the top or what ??? I had some small sympathy for your point of view right up until you posted that..

Teddy, cot, spoilt brat behaviour all come to mind.... and you've just reinforced the opinion that you were here to "take" rather than "give ".

Just my opinion .. thats all  :)

Bl**dy Hell! :o

Agree entirely with the above comment in the light of the over reaction.  Up until that point I too could see both sides of the "argument".
Have to say I pm'd Dave & he responded quickly - its now up to me to decide if I want to accept his offer.  Thanx for replying Dave :y

Well lucky for you that you would appear to be one of the "clique" then cos i pm'd him and got nothing.

I was right behind Dave until he threatened physical violence and right behind Alex until he over reacted by withdrawing from that event in fear of his life or whatever.

Dave shouldnt have advertised a "secret" if he doesnt understand human nature and Alex mate in future its best not to get involved with those on here who dont understand this site is for all and not just the "clique"

However, 30 quid a yr isnt the end of the world so its a storm in a teacup if you ask me.

And show me anyone who DOESNT want anything for nothing and I will show you a liar........

I see from this that Dave is obviously a decent and modest chap then...... and it appears to be true what they say about ferrari drivers......;D

Would sooner have an Aston to be honest.......

cant help thinking its a bit rude to demand anything of anyone. esp someone who is very busy trying to help as best he can, has helped numerous people in the past and, most importantly if you have any sense at all you will realise, will HAVE to draw the line somewhere.
 Chill dude.
