cooling fan plug

hi all new to the forum.

i have just got my omega 2.5 v6 and the fan plug has 2 wires connected so it runs when the keys is turned on. can anyone tell me please where i plug the fan into so that it comes on intermit and not on all the time.

i have looked and cant see where the connection is to plug in.

any pics would be helpful

If you have the aircon switched on the fan will run continuously ... do you have air con and is it switched on ??? :)

what has happened is someone has unplugged from under the bonnet and put a cross wire so the fan stays on all the time. i need to find out where the connector  goes so i can plug it back in.

On the fan itself, or on the rad switch?

sorry not to car minded its the rad switch plug. i cant locate it to plug back in. its the switch that should fit to the rad somewhere.

Fact its unplugged suggests the switch is fubar - has it suffered oil cooler failure at some point?

The switch is just below top rad hose :)

hi i have just had a new earth cable fitted as has some battery probs and the guy says the switch might now work.

Possibly, it is near the main 0v cable.

Keep eye on temp, esp in traffic, it may have been shorted out for a reason (ie, switch knackered).  If it goes above 97C on gauge, you have a problem!

thanks for the help all sorted gave the motor a good run. got caught in some traffic. and all good temp gauge sitting normal.
