Aero Wipers
« on: 09 February 2008, 20:49:25 »

Has anybody got the aero wipers blades you can get off ebay? They are similar to the type fitted to Audi's and I know from driving them all day how good they are, was just wondering if anyone has got them and if they are any good. My blades are shot and was looking to replace them with these but would like to know if they work as well as they say they do!

Much better than standard blades and look a lot better.  8-)

I bought a set, sent em back -- when in in the parked position the last
3 inches of the blade  on the passenger side  was away from the screen - worked ok.

I had a set of Bosch Aero flatblade wipers bought for Chrimbo. Apart from a slight loss of contact with the screen on the passengers side when in park position, I think they're excellent. They clear the screen superbly even at high speed and are very very quiet. :y

I had some Vx ones & they were very good (not sure if they're worth the extra though). Got some cheapo ones now of ebay & they're crap!

Not convinced there are better on any car, and obviously have extra problems on cars with very curved screen like omegas.

I suspect many people who say they are brilliant and quiet may not have remembered how good and quiet new normal ones are, and are comparing with their old knackered ones....

Point taken but I still think they're quieter than conventional wiper blades. You don't get the slight "clonk" when they change direction. The slight lack of contact on passenger side when parked isn't a problem as they regain full contact after an inch or so and doesn't affect visibility. I would certainly fit them again. :y

Don't get the clonk with decent new standard blades either ;)

So I guess it's down to personal preference then. ;) I also think they look better.
