NCDR SOUND PROBS
« on: 26 October 2008, 20:46:48 »

Hi everyone. Not a miggy but its a Vectra B, maby you guys can help.

I am having problems wiring in my NCDR1500 headunit from a vectra b into a vectra b. Its all working great with the CID screen now but i am having a few problems getting audio out of the unit to my speakers..

I have tried the speaker wires from how they are standard and reversed them aswell and still no sound comes out of the speakers..

CDs play fine in the unit aswell but no sound at all comes out of the speakers regardless..

Is there anything i have to wire in to ensure that the audio + & - terminates activate with these NCDR head units??

This is not a bose set up system..

The speakers are wired to HU, so even if reversed, you'd get sound, just phase issues.

Sounds like a failed amp IC, I've heard the protection circuits aren't great.

The amp IC in the headunit.  An audio specialist may be able to sort - try Dave DND on this site.
