HELP! aftermarket dvd with bose!

Hi im a vauxhall mechanic and have been fitting a dvd/reverse cam system for my mothers omega, its a 2000 (w) fitted with the bose option, i fitted unit powered up ok but no sound retried orignal works fine i then diagnosed faulty unit sent it back to suplier now he's saying it's fine and even sujests we view it working but im not sure about trusting him... basically is there anything im missing or should it be simple plug and play like i thought! many thanks to all.... will. :(

usually with aftermarkets you need to swap around the yellow and red wires. I had to do that with my Alpine unit.

Certainly not plug and play !!!

Check that the output wire to turn on the BOSE amp is connected, as often overlooked when changing head units and if the BOSE amp does not switch on, you won`t get any sound !!
