Removing HID bulbs

Have got upto where the conecter is off and the bulbs is sitting in the house of the light . How do i remove this housing to take out the bulb i was not sure if it was just a twist off one way.

undo battery and leave for a while to make sure any residual power dissipates...then just twist the black retainer and pull out bulb

When working with the Headlight hid system,would it help after disconnecting battery to turn on the H/lamps to discharge the stored electricity.
