omega auto trans check light

hi there i have recently changed my omega mv6 to manual but i get a automatic gearbox check light that comes on the little centre computer when i turn the egnition on and would really like to get rid of it if anyone can help that would be great thanks  :)

Your MID needs to be reprogramed to a manual you have 2 choices

look at http://theboy.omegaowners.com for our OOF TechII's
or you can get another MID from a manual car with the same engine size etc and replace it for that

btw £30 for a MID Reprogram is cheap the stealers want £80 an hour for a tech 2 session

hi i have a ex police omega is it the actual computer screen (mid) i have to change or do u mean something else thanks :)

yeah the actual mid just swap it with the plod one as long as its manual and the same engine size & tyre size as yours

Failing that, check the wiring diags - there is a single wire that needs to be cut and tied to 0v

hi i changed the mid unit at the weekend worked a treat thanks alot its bin bugging me for a while :) :y
