towbar electrics

has anybody got a wiring diagram of the electrics for the tow bar
for twin electrics

there is a connector in the boot that the old towbar had the wire's scotched locked to
can i get hold of a connector to wire the electrics to so its just a straight forward connector instead of silly scotch locks :y

I've been told that the connector is quite expensive, possibly best to remove scotch loks and solder new wires together, I'm looking at putting a towbar on mine, (if I dont get a V6 estate 1st) be good to know how you get on with the wiring

just thought it would be a bit neater if i got hold of the connector
but its hidden anyway so ill just take those sh!t locks off and solder the new trailer wires on properly :y

NB that if you take your brake light from the wire to the plug, then you need to either fit a trailer brake check 'relay' - lives above driver's feet - or short out the terminals ...... or just take your feed from by the tail light.

all the original scotch locks from the old trailer electrics are still there
the wires was cut from the trailer wire then tapped up so they don't short out

ill remove the old scotch locks and tidy the wires up and then solder the new trailer wires in place :y

Ah-Ha, I wondered what was going on.
Arrived to collect hired car trailer and spent and hour fiddling before moving scotch onto tail light feed.
Now I can fit a relay and tidy up the wiring, three generations of scotch blocks, urg  :P
