CD SAFE...?
« on: 17 September 2009, 22:02:12 »

Hi all,
Today I bought a new CD magazine to put in my boot mounted autochanger.
When I insert it the changer comes on and goes through the magazine to locate the CDs as normal.
Only when I tried to play one "CD SAFE" came up on the dash screen and it wouldn't do anything.
Can anyone shed any light on whats wrong here?
Thanks in advance  :y

It's a credit card sized laminatd plastic card which has cd/radio codes , chassis number and immobilzer number. cost anywhere from 25-50 quid from a stealer. It's well worth having in case of any future problems

If they want loads of cash, try another dealer. In my experience they vary from £15 to £50 depending on how much of a crook you local dealer is.

The problem with a car pass is, it only works if the stereo and multi changer are the original ones.

Very good point, well presented.

Carpass still needed for key programming and the like though
