ignition switch wires

hi could someone please help me got waeco heated seat retro
it says the red wire goes straight to battery terminal which is fine done the ground to car body then 15 amp switched plus, behind battery but on pic diagram its says +12 volts ignition 15 amp is that the ignition feed of the switch in the car. if so is it the fat red one

could you not use the heated seat relay instead?

I agree. I would not mess about wiring it back to the battery (note that if you do, it is vital that any feed you add is correctly fused for the gauge of wire you are using, as close to the battery as possible).

I would have a look on the wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual and pick up the feed to the original heated seat element. Haven't ever looked at it myself but there are plenty of members who have replaced the heated seat elements with aftermarket ones.
